Eastside Light Rail Project

Cornerstone Studios, Inc. (CSI) worked with Washington International and DMJM on the Eastside Light Rail Design/Build project that included six at-grade and two underground stations. CSI was responsible for urban design and landscape architecture work for four of the stations including Little Tokyo and Maravilla. The work included:

• Street trees
• Sidewalk, crosswalk, and guideway paving
• Pedestrian lighting
• Bus shelters, bike lockers, and bike rack locations
• Station landscape and irrigation
• Meeting with stake holders
• Presentation

We provided artwork to illustrate station concept design to community groups. We also worked with the city, county, and MTA to resolve jurisdictional and design conflicts while remaining faithful to the original scope.
