Bachelor Enlisted Quarters
This project included preparation of design and construction documents for landscape development of 1,278 BEQ units to support MCAS El Toro and MCAS Tustin relocation as part of BRAC. The 46-acre site included landscaping around 3 new tennis courts, 50 bachelor enlisted quarters, 7 community buildings, 2 administration buildings, a police station, and a fire station. The landscape concept emphasized the common open space areas such as nodes, outdoor BBQ areas, and main entrances. Palms accentuate entrances to buildings and screen tall walls. CSI arranged drought tolerant plants in groups to give patterns, contact textures, and provide colors.
